SARAJEVO/BRATISLAVA, February 4 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanić met today in Bratislava with the President of the United Nations General Assembly and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčak.
Ivanić informed the President of the UNGA about the current political situation in BiH and expressed concern over the disagreement within FBiH on amendments to the Election Law.
Ivanić stressed that political differences on this issue could lead to serious political instability and stalemate on the European path of BiH.
Ivanić and Lajčak jointly assessed that BiH should use the current positive climate within the European institutions in Brussels and do everything to make decisive steps towards acquiring a candidate status.
Lajčak stressed that during his presidency of the UN General Assembly, he will do everything in his power for the UN institutions to pay more attention to BiH, stated the BiH Presidency.
