SARAJEVO, February 6 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić, met today in Sarajevo with the Commander of NATO Headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Robert Huston.
Mr. Mektić, speaking about the security situation in BiH, stressed that it was being complicated by the constant political crises as well as warmongering rhetoric.
“The problem is that the judicial system is not working and there is no rule of law,” Mr. Mektić said.
He informed Mr. Huston about the security challenges posed by the “Serb honor” group and the measures that the security agencies are undertaking in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
Commander Huston stressed that he had full confidence in the BiH Ministry of Security and that he is very satisfied with the efforts to preserve the security of all citizens in BiH.
He also commended the organization of civilian NATO exercises in Tuzla, stating that this could be a model for future exercises, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
