BANJA LUKA, February 7 (FENA) - The SNSD deputy caucus in the RS National Assembly filed a request for review of the constitutionality of the Land Registry Act of the Federation of BiH before the Constitutional Court of BiH, confirmed today a deputy of the party Bojan Vidić.

“We believe that certain provisions of this law are not in accordance with the constitution and will prevent citizens from using their property in the future. The law stipulates that in the course of compiling a land register of FBiH, data on owners are determined without personal invocation of people who were long-time owners and users of property,” Vidić said.

Such provisions, as he said, leave room for abuse and must be changed.

“We have information that in some local communities in FBiH, in particular in Zavidovići, there were cases where data from the owner were not taken over and that people were deliberately eliminated from the register. Truth be told, owners have the right to prove ownership in court proceedings, but this then becomes time-consuming process with additional expenses,” Vidić said in a statement to journalists in Banja Luka.
