MOSTAR, Feb 8 (FENA) - The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) appointed a negotiating team that will begin the negotiating process on February 26 with trade unions on a new collective agreement in health care field.
Cantonal Minister of Health, Labor and Social Welfare, Goran Opsenica, is at the head of the team and his deputy is the Finance Minister at the HNC Government, Adnan Faladzic.
The members of the team are: Director of HNC Health Insurance Institute Rade Bosnjak, Director of Health Insurance Institute of the Western Herzegovina Canton Vilson Crnjac, Director of HBC Health Insurance Institute Ante Bakovic, Director of Mostar University Clinical Hospital Ante Kvesic, Director of the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Safet Mujić "Mostar Zlatko Guzin, Director of the General Hospital Konjic Suzana Sokolovic - Begic, Director of the Health Center Mostar Mario Kordic, and Director of the Health Center" Old Town "Mostar Bajro Saric.
According to the words of the Spokesman of the HNC Government Pero Pavlovic, it is expected that the Federal Ministry of Health will propose its candidate as the eleventh member of the negotiating team.
To remind, considering the demands of the unions of health workers and their announcement of strike, the HNC Government agreed on January 19 to start a negotiating process with the Trade Union representatives on February 26.
In accordance with that decision, a working meeting was held on January 31 , hosted by the HNC Prime Minister Nevenko Herceg and the cantonal Minister of Health, Labor and Social Welfare Goran Opsenica.
At that meetin the situation of the health system in the HNC was presented. Also, the decision of the HNC Government to start negotiations with the unions on February 26 was welcomed.
- On the occasion, all the participants, especially the management of health institutions, hospitals and services were urged to rationalize the existing financial framework to make savings and through other models secure the material prerequisites from which to start to meet at least a part of the demands of the unions of health care workers - Pavlovic recalled.
He added that the HNC Government had fulfilled all necessary pre-requisites that were in line with the demands of the unions and the law regulating the issue of strike, and accordingly expects the negotiation process to start on February 26.
