MOSTAR/ SARAJEVO, Feb 8 (FENA) - President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Cavara received the UN Secretary General Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide, Adam Dieng.
On the occasion, Mr Dieng has confirmed the support of the UN to the FBiH and BiH, underlying that the Western Balkans, because of its painful past, is a priority of this world organization in its efforts to appropriately preserve the memory of all victims and thus build the prerequisites for reconciliation, says the statement issued by the Office of the FBiH President.
President Cavara thanked the UN for supporting reconciliation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and personally Mr Dieng for promoting the idea of the world without war crimes, genocide and hate.
"We do not have to get tired of seeking a common direction for all of us, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the whole world, so that our states can develop without conflicts. I wish to thank the UN and you personally for helping Bosnia and Herzegovina proceed peacefully to safe and bright future", President Cavara said.
