MOSTAR, March 29 (FENA) - Seven months after intensive activities and thorough first-level police training in Mostar, a hundred cadets of BiH Border Police at the Professional Training Agency were promoted to "police officers".
"Out of around 2000 candidates, your were the best and that is why you are here today and in a few days you will be performing duties of a police officer of BiH Border Police, which is an honor and for that you can be proud," Assistant Director of BiH Border Police Slobodan Krstić stated at a solemn ceremony.
He added that BiH Border Police is short of almost 450 police officers who would be engaged in surveillance and border checks.
"Border Police of BiH has problems due to enormous number of foreign citizens who are trying or are illegally crossing the state border so these hundred police officers, apart from all police work under jurisdiction of the Border Police, will also be directly involved in activities related to migration, migration control and migrant crisis in general," said Krstić.
