SARAJEVO, January 7 (FENA) - All the Orthodox believers marking the birth of Jesus Christ according to the Julian calendar today celebrate that most joyous Christian holiday of Christmas.
Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosna, Hrizostom today, at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Sarajevo, read an epistle from the Patriarch Irinej signed by all the bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).
The message of the Serbian Orthodox Church to the numerous believers was read by Vladimir Stupar, the cross-bearer of this church in Sarajevo.
Patriarch Irinej emphasized that the Orthodox faith should be protected and preserved at all cost, as the main message of this year's Christmas liturgy.
The epistle also emphasizes the importance of life and Christian existence, for in the end all human deeds will be examined by the fiery grace of God.
