SARAJEVO, March 25 (FENA) - At the session of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO BiH, at which the drafting of the BiH reform program for 2022 was discussed, it was agreed that the methodology of preparing the first draft of this document will follow the same dynamic as and for the Reform Program 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced, as the fourth session of the said commission was held today.

In other words, all institutions involved in the work of the Commission will update and submit their contributions by the end of May, after which the Commission will determine the final proposal of the 2022 reform program at the next session.

The session was attended by NATO Brigadier General in Sarajevo Pamela McGaha and Hungarian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Krisztián Pósa.

In her first presentation to the Commission since taking office in December last year, Ambassador McGaha and Ambassador Pósa supported the work of the Commission and stressed that they would continue to provide full support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in its reform efforts.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH and Chairman of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO of BiH Josip Brkić emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains committed to cooperation and partnership with NATO.

He informed those present about the recent visit to the NATO headquarters in Brussels, organized for consultations on the content of the new strategic concept, which will be adopted at the NATO summit in Madrid in June 2022. As a partner country, BiH welcomes and wants to contribute to the development of a new strategic concept.

He welcomed the intention to keep in the strategic concept the provisions related to the "Open Door" policy and the definition of the Western Balkans as a region of strategic interest for NATO.
