SARAJEVO, June 6 (FENA) - The FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić and President of the Management Board of the Operator-Terminals of the Federation of BiH, Hermedin Zornić, today announced the start of reconstruction of the Blažuj Liquid Oil Terminal.
On this occasion, the two officials stated that the Federation of BiH will soon have 42 million liters of oil reserves at its disposal. The value of these works is 25 million KM.
"First of all, I would like to thank the Management Board and the Supervisory Board, which were able to resolve and win these battles that took place in the previous period, and which are related to resolving property and legal relations.
Today, we have reached the stage where we are starting with the reconstruction of one of the largest terminals in the Federation of BiH, which means 42 million liters of oil reserves. When we compare that with 5.9 million liters of terminals in Živinice and 80 million liters of our terminals in Ploče, we can say that with the completion of this project we will have a third of the met request regarding the obligations towards the European Union and the European Energy Community," said Džindić.
I hope that this project will be completed within the deadlines and put into operation and that it will serve its purpose. The deadline for the completion is one and a half to two years.
He pointed out that for the first time, Sarajevo Canton will get a terminal that will work at full capacity. In addition, the mandatory infrastructure that goes along with the terminals will be built.
The President of the Management Board of the Operator-Terminals of the Federation of BiH, Hermedin Zornić, pointed out that at the end of June, the works will begin on the terminal in Bihać with a capacity of some 20 million liters.
