The remains of 11 victims identified in the Memorial Ossuary in Miljevići

SARAJEVO, July 1 (FENA) - The remains of 11 victims of the past war were identified today in the "Miljevići" Memorial Ossuary.

The Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced these victims were first identified through the DNA method, and today their identities have been confirmed by members of their families. The victims disappeared in the area of Sarajevo during 1992 and 1993.

In two cases it is about new identities, while in the remaining cases it is about reassociations, that is, the identification of parts of the remains of victims that were already identified in an earlier period.

Mladen (Petar) Mrđa, born on October 31, 1955 in Crnomerec-Zagreb and Branka (Rade) Mrđa, born on July 6, 1953 in Foča were identified today for the first time. 

For the purpose of reassociation, the remains of the victims were also identified: Vojko (Živojin) Balotić; Nada (Gavrilo) Biberdžić; Predrag (Žarko) Gojković; Samir (Ibrahim) Hasanbegović; Draško (Vaso) Vukosav; Stevo (Mihajlo) Zarić; Stojan (Jefto) Žuža; Branislav (Obrad) Čabak and Marko (Simo) Bošković, stated from INO BiH.
