SARAJEVO, July 10 (FENA) - This morning, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, joined the participants of the Peace March "Nezuk - Potočari" at the beginning of the third and last section in Mravinjci.
This section is about 30 kilometers long, and the participants also pass Kameničko Brdo, where more than a thousand civilians were killed in an ambush in 1995, and the same number were captured, the FBiH Government stated.
The Prime Minister said that it was an obligation to be here, on the road on which thousands of people sought salvation for their lives 27 years ago, and many of them, unfortunately, did not succeed.
"This year, it is also a special honor for me to pass at least the last route of the Peace March as a sign of respect and memory of thousands of brave people from Podrinje who saved their lives this way. This is the least I can do so that the horror that happened in July 1995 is not forgotten. First of all, I walk in honor of all those who unfortunately did not survive this journey in 1995. On this road, the most painful pages of our history are written in blood. It is an obligation to be here today," Prime Minister Novalić said.
The "Nezuk - Potočari" peace march is a march on foot in memory of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, in which, again this year, thousands of participants walk a 110-kilometer route in three days.
The march started on July 8 from Nezuk, and will end today in the afternoon by arriving at the Memorial Center in Potočari.
