SARAJEVO, February 9 (FENA) - The Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH) will support the eventual signing of an agreement on measures for the mandate period 2022-2026, which is a prerequisite for the formation of the executive power, and in that context, support the formation of the program Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Admir Čavalić (Party for BiH), an MP in the House of Representatives in the FBiH Parliament, told FENA.

The statement came on the same day that the leader of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, marked as the approximate desired deadline by which the signatures of political parties, possible partners with the SDP and other parties in forming a new majority in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH should be collected.

Čavalic's stated position is the condition of the Party for BiH for responding to Nikšić's initiative, so it follows from the statement that there will be no signatures from PBiH today because the desired agreement has not yet been signed.

According to Čavalić's statements, his party believes that the deadline for Nikšić's call was a bit hasty in a situation where the president and vice-presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, otherwise indispensable factors in the nomination of the mandate holder or the formation of the new federal government, have not yet been appointed in the new post-election mandate, and signatures would primarily be intended for them in the form of the support for the mentioned program.

In connection with the above, a few days ago the leader of Čavalić's party, Semir Efendić, as well as the leaders of the People's European Alliance and the "For New Generations" Movement, Nermin Ogrešević and Damir Marjanović, sent a letter to the President of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, stating the conditions under which they would eventually sign if their parties end up being part of the parliamentary majority in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"In order to avoid possible disagreements, we consider it necessary to agree and sign an agreement on the formation of the executive power in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the mandate period 2022-2026, in which we will regulate the rights, obligations and responsibilities of each political entity that makes up the parliamentary majority in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The signatures of support that are requested from us can be given exclusively for the formation of the program Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and within the procedure by which the leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is requested to appoint a PM-designate, and not for the sake of the announced pressure towards the international community," stated Efendić, Ogrešević and Marjanović.
