SARAJEVO, March 27 (FENA) - The European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrated 18 years of successful work today with a solemn ceremony in Sarajevo.
Two events were organized on this occasion. In the first part of marking the work of the European Movement of BiH, a panel discussion was organized under the title "Candidate status of BiH - how to proceed to full membership in the EU".
The panelists were Duško Vejinović, Mario Karamatić, Zlatan Klokić, Hoda Dedić, Berina Bajrović, Zdravko Marinković and Darko Matijašević.
In the second part of the ceremony, the European Movement in BiH symbolically awarded 18 "Orders of the People and Citizens of BiH" in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. The awards were presented to valuable and deserving people from local communities, representatives of business and tourism companies, and the academic community, sports and cultural societies, and representatives of non-governmental and humanitarian organizations, EU integration and institutions, who in any way acted and improved social relations in their regions, in BiH and abroad.
President of the European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Predrag Praštalo, said that in 2010, this organization presented the Orders for the first time and that the first people who received the Order were Valentin Inzko and Tanja Fajon.
He added that so far between 150 and 180 Orders have been awarded to successful people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region, EU countries, the USA and Asia.
