SARAJEVO, March 28 (FENA) - The unanimous position of the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was that the proposals for amendments to the Law on Excise Tax and VAT should be forwarded for consideration to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to see what they mean from the point of view of the entity and state stability budget, said Nikola Špirić.

He commented on the decisions after the Collegium "removed" from the proposed agenda of today's session of the House the reports on changes to the law on excises and taxes, which passed all the necessary harmonization and adoption except today in the House of Peoples.

Considering that the budget of the Republika Srpska was adopted at the end of last year that the budget of the Federation of BiH was adopted and that the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to be adopted in the coming days, he believes that it is quite logical that the new government, the new parliamentary majority, the new the convocation of governments and the Council of Ministers are calculating whether it will threaten the financial stability of the entities, cantons and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"I think that our approach is the most rational, and the voting in the House of Peoples confirmed that we in the Collegium were right. And not only the aforementioned laws but also everything else that was part of the pre-election campaign of the parties of the former opposition and now the government. I think it is quite logical for us to hear the answer, because what I know, and you also know, the amendments to the VAT Law, the deadline for that law is until December 31, 2022, so what would we get if we adopted today the law whose deadline has expired,“ said Špirić.
