SARAJEVO, August 4 (FENA) - Construction works on the Kladanj - Podpaklenik road section are in the final stages, the FBiH Roads confirmed for FENA.
The company pointed out that, due to weather conditions during the winter and rainy days in the spring, the contractor has been granted an extension and the planned completion of the works is the end of September.
The contract for the completion of the works on the construction of the M-18 main road, section Kladanj - Podpaklenik at the Karaula pass, Phase III - P135 - P254, was signed on February 2, 2018, with the contractor Euro-Asfalt Sarajevo & ŽGP Sarajevo.
With the completion of the third phase, the total section gets its full significance and a modern 4.5 km long road which will have three lanes, one of which is intended for slower vehicles traffic.
At first, it was announced that the works would be completed by the end of July 2019.
