Bukvić: SBF is preparing document with guidelines for overcoming crisis in BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 11 (FENA) - The 11th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF), scheduled for April this year, has been postponed to autumn, and organizers have decided to hold online panels in the meantime to bring together leading local experts from various fields that will provide guidelines for development of the domestic economy in these conditions.

Chairman of the Management Board of Bosna Bank International (BBI) Sarajevo and organizer of the Sarajevo Business Forum Amer Bukvić said that they want to express their commitment to the development of BiH economy and society in times of crisis through the implementation of interactive online sessions on the platform of the largest international investment conference in the region - SBF. The concept is designed to organize a discussion with leading experts through several thematic SBF online sessions, treating specific industries and their sustainability in times of crisis.

“We have identified three key industries to which we need to pay attention. These are agriculture and food production, energy and pharmaceuticals, i.e. medicine production. We want to ask the right questions and try to offer answers and solutions on how to produce enough in these vital industries for the needs of the population of BiH,” said Bukvić, adding that exchange of ideas and discussions of experts in these areas should result in a document that will be submitted to BiH authorities in the form of a proposal as guidelines for experts to overcome the economic crisis.

In addition to participation of experts in BiH, it is planned to organize a panel on the topic of regional connections "One region - one economy", which is essentially the idea of the previous Sarajevo Business Forum, which will bring together regional experts and provide guidance on how we need to connect economically and overcome the crisis with joint efforts, the BBI Bank said.
