SARAJEVO, August 23 (FENA) - From the beginning of the year to August 11, a total of 20,508,310 people crossed the state border of Bosnia and Herzegovina in both directions. The most frequented border crossings are Gradiška, Orašje, Rača and Brod.
If we compare it with the data from last year, from January 1 to August 9, a total of 13,752,219 people crossed the state border, of which 7,008,298 were registered at the entrance to BiH.
In June, 3,084,325 people crossed the BiH state border, of which 1,561,215 were only at the entrance to BiH.
In July, 3,979,723 people crossed the state border, of which 2,099,557 were registered at the entrance to BiH.
Spokeswoman of the BiH Border Police, Franka Vican Bošković, told FENA that, in addition to the citizens of BiH, citizens of Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Austria and Germany are registered entering BiH.
She notes that the traffic is still increased at the borders due to the tourist season, but also since the epidemiological measures were abolished at the border crossings in BiH.
The spokeswoman for BiH Border Police points out that the most frequent border crossings are Gradiška, Orašje, Rača and Brod, and advises that travelers inform themselves about the traffic conditions at the crossings before traveling.
“The BiH Border Police is taking all measures to reduce crowds and waiting times at border crossings, and we certainly recommend travelers to inform themselves about the state of traffic at border crossings before their intended trip and to use the nearest or neighboring border crossings with lower traffic frequency,” spokeswoman Franka Vican Bošković said.
