SARAJEVO, June 15 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda held a meeting today with Ingrid Macdonald, the UN Resident Coordinator in BiH.
The main topic of the meeting was the constitutive session of the Joint Steering Board of BiH and the UN for the implementation of the UN Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development in BiH (2021-2025), co-chaired by Minister Bevanda and Resident Coordinator Macdonald.
The interlocutors agreed that the Framework for Cooperation for Sustainable Development is an important partnership document of the United Nations and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which defines strategic priorities and ways to implement them in order to create a better living environment for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This cooperation document is based on the contribution of 17 sustainable development goals set by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with other United Nations members, adopted at the Summit on Sustainable Development.
According to the submitted data, the indicative financial projection of the implementation of the UN and BiH Development Assistance Framework amounts to 336,080,480 USD.
