SARAJEVO, September 23 (FENA) - FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and Minister of Transport and Communications Denis Lasić, after the session of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at which a decision was made that the part of the highway from Vlakovo to Bradina will be free of charge during the next month, visited this section in order to provide citizens with the latest information firsthand.
Ivan Tunnel is a new modern tunnel with two lanes each and passes through the Ivan Sedlo mountain pass.
“The construction works on this part of the highway are completely finished,” revealed Prime Minister Novalić and Minister Lasić.
Driving without tolls will last until the works on the M-17 highway, which are necessary to return the road to its original condition before the winter period, are completed, after the construction of the highway sub-section on the Corridor Vc, subsection Tarčin-Ivan.
The fact that in 2015 the current FBiH Government, when it assumed its mandate, did not find any project for the construction of sections of the highway speaks of how much infrastructural progress and success it is.
“With the completion of the construction of the Prenj tunnel and other smaller sections that will be built, we will meet our set deadlines and in 2028 we will have a complete corridor from Svilaj in the north to Bijača in the south,” said Lasić.
The Prime Minister reminded that the construction of highways greatly affects the growth of the gross domestic product.
The FBiH Prime Minister and the Minister expressed gratitude to the approximately 800 workers who worked daily on this magnificent project.
