SARAJEVO, October 2 (FENA) – A total of 1,164,261 voters or 35 percent voted at regular polling stations in the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina by 15:00 hrs., which, according to the assessment of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CECBH), is a satisfactory turnout.

The President of the CEC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Suad Arnautović, once again called on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the right to vote, who have not yet gone out to vote, to do so and use their democratic right by 7:00 p.m. when the polling stations close.

"Unfortunately, we had a situation where a voter died at the polling station. This happened at the polling station in Grbavica in Sarajevo," Arnautović said at the latest press conference today.

He added that in connection to this, polling stations - 139A015 and 139A014, at 'Grbavica I' have been temporarily closed, and that voting at those polling stations will be extended by two hours.

According to him, the CEC BiH has so far received 35 objections which have been submitted to the municipal/city election commissions in the meantime.

At the same time, 23 complaints were filed for violation of election silence, and when it comes to security aspects, law enforcement agencies recorded or reported a total of 31 events, of which seven were for disturbing public order and two were criminal acts.

He also stated that there is no new information for the polling station 007B051 in Bosanski Novi, which hasn't opened today, and that the police and the Prosecutor's Office are engaged in the situation related to electoral illegalities (attempt to insert already filled ballots).
