Tribunal Mechanism rejects Ratko Mladić’s request for early release on health grounds

THE HAGUE/SARAJEVO, May 14 (FENA) – The International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals has rejected a request by Ratko Mladić, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the genocide in Srebrenica and other crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to be granted early release due to deteriorating health, explaining that there is no additional treatment available elsewhere that is not available to him in the Netherlands.
