Climate change and declining reforestation put forests in RS under pressure

BANJA LUKA, August 23 (FENA) – The area of state-owned forests in Republika Srpska has remained largely stable at around 798,000 hectares over the past five years, but the condition and structure of the forest fund are changing, with less land suitable for reforestation and forest management and more classified as unsuitable for these purposes.
