SARAJEVO, August 28 (FENA) – The first international defence industry fair, 'Balkan Shield – Defence Industry Expo & Summit 2026', will bring together numerous manufacturers, institutions, research centers, experts and decision-makers from the defense and security industries in Sarajevo from September 1 to 4.
Around 50 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad are expected to participate and to showcase advanced technologies, strengthen business cooperation and create new opportunities for developing international partnerships.
Companies and delegations from countries across the region, as well as Türkiye, Egypt, the People’s Republic of China and the Czech Republic, have expressed interest in participating, along with numerous representatives of European industry, research institutions and academia.
More than 7,000 square meters of exhibition space will showcase achievements in defence technologies, military and protective equipment, logistics, cybersecurity, unmanned systems, mechanical and metal industries, as well as other related sectors.
The fair will provide opportunities for B2B and B2G business meetings, connecting manufacturers, investors and institutions, and establishing new business contacts on domestic and international markets.
Visitors will have the opportunity to attend presentations, equipment demonstrations, expert panels and business meetings.
The event will also feature an international conference program focusing on current challenges and trends in the defence industry, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the development of industrial capacities and international cooperation.
Companies from the defence and security industries, manufacturers of military and protective equipment, providers of security and logistics services, as well as other businesses whose products and services form part of the modern defence value chain, are invited to participate.
Visitors wishing to attend the conferences, panel discussions and exhibition will also be able to register as part of the event.
The fair is held under the institutional patronage of the FBiH Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, while UNIS Group d.o.o. Sarajevo is the organizer, with the support of leading defence industry companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
