MOSTAR, Feb 22 (FENA) - The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) adopted a Draft decision on the acceptance of the Loan Agreement between the Saudi Development Fund and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of KM 32 million intended for the construction and reconstruction of hospitals in the HNC.
Out of the total amount, KM 19.2 million will be allocated for the construction of the Children's Clinic at the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, KM 9.6 million for the construction, reconstruction and equipping of departments of the Regional Medical Centre "Dr. Safet Mujic" Mostar, and KM 3.2 million for the construction and reconstruction of departments and procurement of computer and medical equipment for the General Hospital Konjic.
During the debate, it was pointed out that the HNC Government, besides regular financing of health care institutions in the HNC, through the budget and extra-budgetary funds, strongly supported the improvement of hospital facilities that were the basis of the health care of the citizens of the HNC, says the statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the HNC Government.
The Government also adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Social Welfare Act.
The Draft envisages the establishment of an educational center in which educational measures of juvenile delinquency will be implemented, as well as diagnoses and observation of juvenile perpetrators of criminal offenses during court proceedings under the order of the prosecution or the court.
It was also underlined that it would be a social welfare institution with the fundamental task of accepting, accommodating and observing, in which a juvenile offender can be accommodated upon a court decision instead of being held in custody.
