SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Exports from BiH to Turkey over recent months surpassed exports from Turkey to BiH, concluded at today's meeting BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović and Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi.
"We expect the volume of exchange of goods to reach two billion KM by the end of the year, with a special focus on agricultural exports, meat and meat products exports," the Turkish Minister stressed, pointing out that the economic parameters of cooperation are steadily increasing.
After intense negotiations and activities, the Free Trade Agreement is being successfully finalized, which will contribute to a further rise in the total exchange between the two countries, it was emphasized at the meeting, with a remark that the export of flour itself has increased 16-fold in comparison to the previous period.
Mr. Šarović especially referred to the need to take steps to create conditions for major investments by Turkish investors.
Turkey expressed readiness to guarantee meat exports from BiH to Turkey for at least five years, which might enable long-term investment plans for that sector.
Deadlines for the realization of Turkey's loans for development projects in the field of agriculture and other projects have been extended, and the trilateral meeting of the ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Turkey and the opening of the BiH business representation office in Istanbul have been announced, the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations stated.
