Burnt fragments of human remains discovered in Berkovići area

SARAJEVO, May 10 (FENA) – An exhumation was carried out at the Barište local cemetery in the village of Dabrica, Berkovići municipality, where fragments of several human remains were found, some of them burnt and charred.

The exhumation of the remains of victims from the previous war was done under the warrant of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with the order of the BiH Court, and as it was stated, the subsequent analysis will determine how many victims are involved.

The investigator of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, who coordinated the activities and work of the officials on the field, was present at the location, as were a doctor of forensic medicine, a representative of the Institute for Missing Persons (IMP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP), and police officers of Berkovići police station, the BiH Prosecutor's Office stated today.
