SARAJEVO, September 25 (FENA) - Chair of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović met in New York with Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres and talked to him about current political situation and progress BiH has made on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration.
Izetbegović emphasized that BiH expects to get a candidate status for membership in the EU and activation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP) on the path to NATO.
Izetbegović also informed Guterres about the level of implemented reforms and progress of BiH economy.
They agreed that cooperation between BiH and United Nations is very good and stressed the importance of project "Dialogue for the Future - Promotion of Co-Existence and Diversities in BiH", which should expand to countries of the region in the second stage.
Chair Izetbegović underlined BiH's commitment to implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Program "Agenda 2030", PR Office of BiH Presidency stated today.
