BANJA LUKA, October 4 (FENA) - Admir Čavka, a deputy of the Homeland" Coalition appealed to the Bosniaks in the entity of RS to remain calm and dignified on the eve of the October 7 elections and not to engage in any protests that certain individuals have called on these days.

“I do not want the Bosniaks to be drawn into any unrest that are being announced and called upon. It is very important that we remain dignified and peaceful," said Čavka at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He emphasized that on October 7, pen and paper are the means by which to change everything that needs to be changed in order to build a better future.

He voiced his opposition to any kind of street unrest and toppling of anyone in this manner.

"Every time the turmoil happened on the streets, it did not finish well for the Bosniaks," he said, and he recalled Murat Badić's murder during the turmoil in 2001 during the attempt to to lay the foundation stone for the destroyed Ferhadija Mosque in Banja Luka.

He believes that there is a very small chance that the number of Bosniak MPs in the National Assembly of RS will be equal to the one in the present convocation of the entity parliament, because the parties that represent the Bosniak people failed to reach an agreement on the joint participation in these elections.

He called on Bosniak returnees in RS to take to the elections and vote by their conscience.
