SARAJEVO, October 16 (FENA) - Defense industry products of the Republic of Croatia were presented at the Army Hall in Sarajevo today.
Presentation was organized by Ministry of Defense of BiH and Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to BiH and it was an opportunity to present the production program of Croatian company for production of weapons HS "Produkt“ from Karlovac, including the VHS-2 rifle (call. 5,56×45 mm), different models of guns and other infantry weapons.
Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to BiH Ivan Del Vechio emphasized that presentation of the aforementioned products also confirms successful military, economic and other forms of cooperation.
He assessed that it is not priority for Croatian and BiH market to sell something to each other, but the key issue is developing and enhancing cooperation towards opening and winning third markets.
"That is especially interesting for BiH, because Croatia is a NATO member and it already has certified products which can compete with other members of the alliance," Del Vechio stated.
He underlined that in that regard cooperation with Croatia can enable BiH to get ready on the NATO path and participate in economic cooperation, especially in area of production of weapons and military equipment.
Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš also pointed to importance of improving situation in this segment, reminding it is a presentation which was agreed within bilateral cooperation between defense ministries of the two countries.
