UNESCO once again sponsor of D-0 ARK Underground Biennial Project in Konjic

SARAJEVO, March 11 (FENA) - The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will be the sponsor of the fifth cycle of the D-0 ARK Underground Biennial Project, which is being held in Konjic.

UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, in a letter addressed to Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adil Osmanović, said among other things, that this project affirms UNESCO's priorities aimed at promoting cultural diversity and the development of contemporary cultural production.

This year, the Biennial Project celebrates ten years of work. The D-0 ARK Underground collection, comprised of 148 pieces of artwork, and is considered by the experts to be the most important collection of contemporary art dedicated to the period of Cold War in Europe, and its value is estimated at seven million euros.

In the previous cycles of the Biennial Project received significant funds from the Ministries of Culture of Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Turkey, Austria, Germany, Italy and Albania by signing the Declarations on Support to the Biennial Project with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
