SARAJEVO, May 8 (FENA) - Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, at the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), whose participants were the presidents or prime ministers of the countries in the region, said that the construction of the Sarajevo - Belgrade motorway would give an opportunity for people to move better because “we should strive towards free movement of people and businesses in all six economies of the Western Balkans".
In her opinion, when politics becomes "tough", it is wise to let the business people talk, and the EBRD forum is a fantastic opportunity for dialogue and visions of the business community.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that everyone should act regionally.
“We need free trade on a single market. But, it is easier said than done. We should not wait to become part of the European Union in order to create our own "Schengen area in the region" said, among other things, the Albanian Prime Minister.
Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev stressed the importance of economic meetings, especially after resolving 'difficult disputes in the region'.
“We have to do more, and use the capacities that have not been previously used in the Western Balkans. The EBRD can help us in achieving this,” said Zaev.
The Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has gathered thousands of participants in Sarajevo, among them the regional leaders. Apart from the heads of regional governments, Montenegro's President Milo Đukanović is also taking part in the forum.
