SARAJEVO, June 9 (FENA) - Relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the People's Republic of China are getting closer and stronger year after year, but no form of cooperation between the two countries will take place under any political conditioning or interference in BiH's internal affairs, it was emphasized at today's regular session of the Association of Independent Intellectuals "Circle 99" in Sarajevo on the topic "Experiences from China's development and the path of progress", where the introductory speaker was the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH, Ji Ping.
The focus of the Ambassador's presentation was on three topics: the experiences and successes of China's economic development in recent years, relations between China and the world, and the cooperation and bilateral relations between China and BiH.
He underlined that cooperation between the two countries takes place without any imposition. Since BiH is an independent and sovereign state, it is up to BiH to determine with which country it wants to cooperate.
"Concerning the concrete example of cooperation on the project of construction of the Block 7 of the Thermal Power Plant in Tuzla, the BiH authorities have reached a consensus to continue this cooperation with Chinese partners" noted Ambassador Ji Ping.
He expressed hope that the Block 7 will soon get all the permits in order to complete all the administrative procedures and start the construction.
The ambassador confirmed that mutual cultural cooperation is fastly progressing, and there are also many good examples within the Belt and Road Initiative initiative, as well as the "16 + 1" initiative, which this year will help the hosting of Winter Sports Festival in BiH for university students, but also the Conference of Ministers of Transport and Communications.
