GRUDE, June 11 (FENA) - The fourth debate on the challenges and opportunities offered by the EU accession process led by the Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative to BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Spanish Ambassador to BiH Jose Maria Valdemoro Gimenez and regional experts was held on Tuesday in Grude.
The European Union Special Representative to BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark emphasized that the aim of these debates is to meet with ordinary citizens, in order to convey views and opinions on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Our goal is to meet with the representatives of the cantons in BiH in which the authorities have been formed, representatives of the authorities in RS, but also with ordinary people in order to hear their views on the European Union and to share information and clarify the process of European integration,” said Wigemark.
The most important message of the whole process is that everyone should be more active participant in the process of European integration, Wigemark pointed out.
“European integration is not something reserved for politicians alone, or civil servants and the elite, but everyone should participate,” said Wigemark.
He said that Grude is a great example of local self-government that took over the fate in its own hands, and today it is a local community that creates the largest number of jobs in BiH.
