SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović received EUFOR commander General Reinhard Trischak in an inaugural visit.
Džaferović spoke to General Trischak about the importance of EUFOR's mission to maintain a safe and stable environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the same time, Džaferović gave full support to EUFOR forces in fulfilling the commitments envisioned by the Dayton Peace Agreement and commended their achievements in co-operation with the Armed Forces and civilian structures of BiH.
BiH Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović stressed that the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union, and in particular NATO, represents the guarantor of security and economic progress of the country.
They also talked about the crisis triggered by illegal migration, with particular reference to the security risks caused by the increased inflow of migrants to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interlocutors also faced other challenges ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period.
At the end of the meeting, Džaferović wished a successful mission to Major General Reinhard Trischak, the BiH Presidency said.
