Remains of one victim from past war exhumed in Šekovići

SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) – An exhumation process at the site of Trnovo in the municipality of Šekovići was completed, overseen and coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, where the incomplete remains of one person were found.

The remains found will be transported to the Tuzla Commemoration Center, where forensic and criminal-technical processing will be performed and bone sampling will be taken to determine the victim's identity through DNA analysis.

The process of field exhumation was overseen and coordinated by an investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and officers of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH, a forensic specialist, as well as police officers from Šekovići police station are involved in the exhumation process, stated the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
