ALGIERS/SARAJEVO, October 10 (FENA) - On the sidelines of the annual assembly of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies (AMAN), held in Algeria, the Federal News Agency (FENA) General Manager Elmir Huremović has signed cooperation agreements with the Director of the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), George Penintaex and Director of the Algerian News Agency (APS) Fakhreddine Beldi.
The signed agreements provide for the exchange of news, photos and video content between the partner agencies and other forms of cooperation in order to strengthen the professional capacities of FENA, CNA and APS, as well as better informing of the public in BiH and the countries in which these other two agencies operate.
CNA is the leading news agency in Cyprus and, apart from the photo and video services; it also publishes news service in Greek, English, Turkish and Arabic, while APS is the largest and most influential news agency in Algeria.
The Federal News Agency FENA has already signed similar cooperation agreements with more than 20 leading national news agencies around the world.
“This is another important step in strengthening our connections with news agencies from other countries. We certainly want to provide our users with as much quality content from the world as possible, while enabling the public in BiH to get to know Cyprus and Algeria better.
We are convinced that, thanks to FENA’s content, which in future will also be shared and published by CNA and APS, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be closer to Cyprus and Algeria and that this form of cooperation of the leading agencies in our countries will also contribute to strengthening of cultural, tourism and other ties,” said FENA’s General Manager Elmir Huremović.
