SARAJEVO, October 10 (FENA) - BiH Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak participated in the 4th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean held in Barcelona.
During his address, Crnadak emphasized the importance of the Union for the Mediterranean, as the only forum besides the United Nations, bringing together representatives of the Mediterranean, the European Union, Israel and Palestine and which has made a major contribution to stability and development for its 11 years of existence.
He stressed that migration and fight against organized crime remain the most important security topics in the region.
He also pointed out that, after today's presentation of the impact of climate change on the Mediterranean, it is obvious that the issue of global warming is being underestimated and that authorities of the Mediterranean countries will need to become more involved in addressing this issue.
Minister Crnadak informed the participants with the intention that BiH hosts one of the great events of the Union for the Mediterranean in 2020, which is being discussed with Union Secretary-General Nasser Kamel.
More than 30 foreign ministers participated in the 4th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean, the BiH MFA stated.
