SARAJEVO, February 12 (FENA) - Rule of law is the basic principle of functioning of all democratic countries. The anti-constitutional habit of the entity of Republika Srpska to interfere in the exclusive competencies of the State of BiH, acting as the supreme arbiter and interpreter of all constitutions and laws, is a classic example of arrogant disrespect for the existing laws, which leads to new tensions and complete legal anarchy, stated the Speaker of the BiH PA House of Representatives Denis Zvizdić in response to announcements of a blockade of the work of the BiH institutions by the officials from RS.
This is the umpteenth time, he emphasized, we are witnessing this kind of behavior in the face of the domestic and especially international community, where we see attempts to introduce unacceptable, illegal and unconstitutional practice of achieving goals through the anti-democratic principle of institutional blockades and blackmail, although it is clear from the previous practice that such an approach does not lead to any positive solution.
“Functioning of the political and legal system on the principles of the rule of law is a principle that must not be broken and it is a line which must not be crossed ever, under any blackmail. I urge the representatives of the entity of Republika Srpska to get serious and not to block the work of the institutions, which will only cause detriment to themselves. I urge them to start working on a European and reform paths and on activities that will benefit all citizens of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” concluded Speaker Zvizdić.
