Sarajevo Canton implements continuous coronavirus protection measures

SARAJEVO, February 21 (FENA) - The Crisis Staff of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Health for monitoring and analysis of the situation caused by the spread of coronavirus (COVID 2019) announces that it continuously monitors the current epidemiological situation and performs epidemiological monitoring in the canton, in accordance with prescribed procedures and protocols.

The cantonal crisis staff is in constant contact with the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health and crisis staffs of other cantons.

The crisis staff states that in the previous period, health monitoring measures were regularly carried out in the Sarajevo Canton for the persons to whom the sanitary inspection issued a decision for the placement under medical supervision.

“At the moment, there are three persons in the Sarajevo Canton under medical supervision who arrived from the People's Republic of China, which is in accordance with the prescribed procedures and orders of the competent institutions.

The duration of surveillance is the time interval of the longest incubation period for a particular infectious disease, which in this case is 14 days,” explained the crisis staff.

Health situation monitoring is continuously carried out by the Epidemiological Service of the Institute for Public Health of the Sarajevo Canton, stated the Press Service of the SC.
