SARAJEVO, March 10 (FENA) - A grant of EUR 750.000 from the Challenge Fund is available to business entities with innovative business ideas, products or services from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden, based on the fifth public call for proposals presented today in Sarajevo and organized by the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA and the FBiH Chamber of Commerce.

Project Manager at SERDA Sanela Dževlan said the fifth public invitation was announced as part of the Challenge to Change - C2C project implemented by SERDA in partnership with the RS Development Agency and partner from Eastern Sweden, the Ostergotland region.

“This project is funded by the Swedish Government, that is, the Swedish Embassy in BiH, and is a project establishing Challenge Fund for innovative business entities that have been registered for at least six months in BiH and Sweden and have the opportunity to apply with innovative business ideas that contribute to new employment, i.e. the overall socio-economic development of BiH,” said Dževlan.

These are grants available for startups with a maximum of EUR 10.000, or for companies that have been operating for more than two years, with up to 250 employees and can receive grant funding of up to EUR 30.000.

Dževlan emphasized that all these business entities must provide their own financial contribution of at least 50 percent, and the implementation period of their projects can be a maximum of 12 months.

FBiH Chamber of Commerce President Mirsad Jašarspahić said that today's session is an opportunity to inform business entities, all those interested and who have an innovative idea to try and apply for this grant.

“We find companies that already have plans in their production process to invest in increasing the production process, to introduce innovative products, and we recommend this fund to them, which is a chance to get funding and realize their ideas,” said Jašarspahić.
