Tegeltija: World Bank ready to financially aid BiH regarding coronavirus

SARAJEVO, March 11 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija informed the prime ministers of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković and the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, respectively, that the World Bank expressed readiness to financially aid BiH in preventing, detecting and rehabilitation of consequences of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The 20-million-dollar funding would be operational to support disease monitoring, strengthen public health interventions, and work with the private sector to reduce the impact on the economy, and would include, among other things, procurement of test equipment, hospital equipment, construction of medical facilities for emergency situations, etc.

Tegeltija thanked the World Bank for its willingness to again provide support and assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Council of Ministers said.
