BANJA LUKA, March 12 (FENA) - Four more cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the entity of Republika Srpska (RS), raising the total number of those infected in that entity in BiH to eight persons.

Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić said at a news conference in Banja Luka that it was a man and a woman who spent their holidays skiing in Austria and had a contact with a person who had been confirmed to be positive to coronavirus in Croatia.

Also, the other two cases are men and women who have been in contact with infected persons in Slovenia.

Upon arrival in the RS, these persons duly reported to the competent institutions and their health situation was monitored.

“All of them are feeling well and they are not in serious health risk,” said Šeranić.

Currently, there are 386 health surveillance cases in the RS for the persons who have come from coronavirus affected areas.

Monitoring has ceased for 122 of them, and 87 home isolation orders are currently in force.

At University Clinical Center in Banja Luka, five persons are placed in isolation, two have previously been confirmed to be positive to coronavirus, and three are awaiting laboratory results.

The departmental minister specified that a state of emergency has not been declared in the RS and that the recommendations issued so far have been taken as preventive measures.
