BANJA LUKA, March 27 (FENA) - Representatives of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) were not given any reasons or arguments as to why the state of emergency should be declared in the Republika Srpska (RS) at a session of the Collegium of the RS National Assembly today, PDP stated.
As they stated, they did not present the measures that would be implemented in that case, nor what exactly this means for citizens, as well as for the economy.
PDP believes that the existing regime of emergency measures gives sufficient space to RS institutions to implement protective measures.
At this point, it is unnecessary to spread panic and in this regard we condemn closing of the session for public, and PDP was against this decision at today’s session, it is said in a statement.
Citizens need to be informed about the reasons for the introduction of a state of emergency and we must all know what the state of emergency entails and how it will affect the lives of every person in the RS, PDP stated.
