Pehar: In the past 24 hrs., 416 persons tested in FBiH, 10 positive for Covid-19

SARAJEVO, April 20 (FENA) - A total of 416 samples were tested in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, 10 of which tested positive for Covid-19, said today a member of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisi Staff and Director of the Public Health Institute, Davor Pehar at today's conference of representatives of FBiH institutions.  

As of today, 9,957 samples have been tested in the territory of the FBiH and Covid-19 has been confirmed in 739 people, which means that nearly 10,000 have been tested, Pehar added.

According to him, slightly more Covid-19 cases were confirmed in women - 54 percent, 46 percent of infected were men.

Currently, there are 67 patients who are positive for Covid-19 receiving hospital treatment in the Federation of BiH, nine of whom are on a ventilator. As of today, 115 patients have recorded.

"To date, 30 fatalities have been confirmed in the Federation of BiH resulting from the Covid-19 infection. Of that number, 53 percent were men and 47 percent were women. Two-thirds of confirmed deaths are in the group of over 65 years of age," Pehar said.
