Minister Čampara proposes lifting the ban on movement of citizens

SARAJEVO, April 23 (FENA) - FBiH Interior Minister Aljoša Čampara has today submitted to the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff a proposal to repeal the Order on the prohibition of movement of citizens (curfew) on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Čampara suggested that the repeal of the ban on movement of citizens come into force on 4 May 2020, based on a detailed analysis of the security situation in the Federation of BiH, starting he appreciates that the conditions for the complete abolition of this measure have been obtained.

He proposed to the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff, if it was not possible to lift the ban on movement of citizens on May 4, 2020, due to still existing epidemiological situation, which he did not want to comment on as the Minister of the Interior, to do so gradually in early May.

In that case, Minister Čampara proposed adopting an amendment to the Order on the prohibition of movement of citizens in the territory of the Federation of BiH by prohibiting the movement of citizens from 22.00 until 05.00 hrs. up to 4 May 2020, and for this measure to be completely abolished on May 11, 2020.
