Pehar: 687 people tested in FBiH over the past 24 hrs., 18 positive for Covid-19

SARAJEVO, April 28 (FENA) - A total of 687 people have been tested in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, 18 of whom tested positive for Covid-19, said Davor Pehar, a member of the FBiH Civil Protection Staff and Director of the FBiH Public Health Institute. 

As of today, 15,745 samples have been tested in the territory of the FBiH and 855 persons have been confirmed to be positive for Covid-19, added Pehar at today's press conference of representatives of FBiH institutions.

Of the current patients for whom Covid-19 was identified, there are currently 45 patients hospitalized in the Federation of BiH, six of whom are on a ventilator. 

According to data available from the Institute, a total of 302 patients have recovered from the disease in the FBiH to date, and in the last 24 hours, 24 have recovered.

"To date, 33 deaths associated with Covid-19 viral infection have been confirmed in the Federation of BiH. Still, two-thirds of deaths are in the age group of people over 65," Pehar underlined.
