SARAJEVO, April 30 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina today adopted a decision on loan agreement between BiH and the World Bank worth about 66 million KM, related to a project of support to the health sector in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, said at a press conference after the session the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, and also stated that a draft decision on ratification of the agreement with the European Union on joint procurement of medicines has been established.

Tegeltija stated that there was no agreement in the CoM on the decision to establish a socio-economic response group to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although yesterday, as he said, there was an agreement on the composition of this working group, BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić voted against the decision. Radončić explained that, by the nature of his job, he should not be a member of that body. BiH Foreign Minister Bisera Turković also voted against, but without explanation.

Tegeltija says he was particularly disappointed that no decision has been made today to allocate KM 474,000, which was collected from domestic donors, legal entities and individuals to help combat the current crisis.

"There was no consent from the Bosniak ministers for the decision," he said, stating that he would urge donors to request a withdrawal of the funds and distribute it themselves if the necessary decision does not get passed until the next session of the Council of Ministers.

Responding to questions from the media, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH said that May 31 was the deadline for the submission of a new state budget proposal to the BiH Presidency, adapted to the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. He hopes that a new, adjusted proposal would be prepared before this deadline.

When it comes to elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tegeltija is of the opinion that the state would provide the necessary funds to hold the elections.

He also believes that the process of distributing money from the International Monetary Fund should not be blocked. He says that unnecessary political games are being played.

"The money, which is currently in the account of the Central Bank of BiH, should have been in the accounts of the entity governments and the Brčko District a long time ago, and it was supposed to be allocated for health and other needs in the aftermath of the pandemic," says Tegeltija.

He expressed confidence that the Minister of Finance and Treasury, Vjekoslav Bevanda, would honor his obligations related to this issue.
