SARAJEVO, September 8 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić received today in Sarajevo the Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH Guillaume Rousson.
The officials assessed cooperation between the two countries in the field of security as very successful, which is implemented through bilateral agreements, but also joint international activities.
Particularly important cooperation is taking place in the fight against illegal arms trade, as well as the prevention of other serious crimes and organized crime, the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.
Also, the interlocutors stressed an important role and support of France in controlling and combating the misuse of small arms and light weapons.
During the meeting, they also discussed the migrant situation in BiH, where Minister Cikotić informed Ambassador Rousson about the key priorities of the BiH Ministry of Security, which relate to strengthening border protection to prevent the entry of illegal migrants and relocating migrant centers outside populated areas.
This was also a farewell visit of Ambassador Rousson, considering that he is leaving this position from BiH, so Minister Cikotić wished him a lot of success in his future work and professional career, announced the Ministry of Security of BiH.
