SARAJEVO, September 14 (FENA) - President and members of the BiH Central Election Commission (CEC) met today in Sarajevo with Ambassador Johann Sattler, Head of the EU Delegation and the EU Special Representative to BiH and his associates.
The CEC President Željko Bakalar used this opportunity to thank the EU Delegation to BiH for the significant support that the EU Delegation and Ambassador Sattler continuously provide to the BiH Central Election Commission.
The two sides discussed the status and implementation of the project Development of a Strategy and Action Plan for Improving the Integrity, Transparency and Efficiency of the Electoral Process in Bosnia and Herzegovina funded by the EU Delegation.
They also talked about the challenges the BiH Central Election Commission is facing regarding the organization and preparation of the BiH Local Elections in 2020, especially in terms of issues related to inter-institutional cooperation, voter registration by mail and the organization of elections during the COVID pandemic, the CEC said.
