SARAJEVO, September 21 (FENA) - Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past eight months (January - August) this year amounted to six billion and 600 million KM, which is 14.1 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to ten billion and 840 million KM and were lower by 17 percent.
The imports-exports ratio, according to the BiH Statistics Agency, amounted to 60.9 percent, and the foreign trade deficit amounted to four billion and 240 million KM.
Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 53 million KM, which is 15.3 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 1 billion and 371 million KM, which is 12.7 percent less than in the same period last year.
The imports-exports ratio with CEFTA countries was 76.8 percent.
Exports to EU countries amounted to four billion and 836 million KM, which is 14.1 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to six billion and 558 million KM and was less by 17.9 percent.
The imports-exports ratio with EU countries was 73.7 percent.
